This website features all the new titles and in-print books currently available from Vanderbilt University Press. Prices, discounts, specifications, and publication dates are subject to change without notice. Books are billed at prices prevailing when an order is processed. Prices listed are in U.S. dollars and may be higher in the rest of the world.
Terms are net 30 days, from date of invoice. In the catalog, the letter "t" indicates trade discounts; the letter "s" indicates short discounts; the letter "x" indicates text discounts. Please write for a full schedule of discounts available to the book trade. Please note also that some books are available not from our warehouse at University of Oklahoma Press but from Lightning Books at Ingram and must be ordered through them.
Returns Policy: All returns must be sent prepaid. Conditions: Current, in-print editions of clean, resalable books, free of price stickers and markings, will be accepted for return and credit no earlier than three months from date of invoice. Copies of books that are damaged, soiled, or shopworn cannot be accepted and will be sent back to the customer via UPS at customer's expense. No prior permission is necessary for returning books, but a debit memo and invoice numbers should be enclosed with each shipment. Shipping charges for returns must be prepaid. Credit: Credit will be allowed at invoiced discounts. For this reason, the appropriate invoice numbers are required. If invoice numbers are not supplied, credit will be issued at the maximum applicable discount of 50%. Only books bought from the publisher will be credited. Claims for damaged books, wrong titles, short shipments, etc., must be made within sixty days from invoice date.
Unless otherwise specified, all Vanderbilt University Press books are printed on acid-free paper that meets the minimum requirements for permanence of the American National Standard for Information Sciences. Where possible, recycled paper is used in the production of our books and catalogs. All new Vanderbilt titles carry bar codes. Vanderbilt University Press participates in the Library of Congress Cataloging in Publication Program (CIP).
