Lara Anderson
Lara Anderson is a scholar of Spanish and Latin American studies, specializing in Spanish and Latin American food studies and cultural history. She has authored articles and book chapters on food and authoritarianism in Spain and Paraguay, food and nation building in Spain, food multiculturalism and migration in Spain and Australia, and food and gender in Spain and Paraguay. She is the author of three monographs, including Control and Resistance: Food Discourse in Franco Spain, and has coedited three special issues, including Transhispanic Food Cultural Studies with Rebecca Ingram. She is currently working on a monograph entitled Gastronomy and Spain's Constitutional Project (1808–1978) and is also looking at how the synergy between gastronomy and biopolitics has impacted the development of different national gastronomies since the nineteenth century.
